Hello, everyone.

In light of the recent order from Square-Enix to shut down FFL, we will begin what I am sure will be a long, arduous process to recreate the game from scratch. Our code is still good, so as far as that is concerned we have no worries. Unfortunately all media that the game used before is no longer legal.

However, FFL has been host to a number of talented sprite artists over the years, and I believe there is a lot of untapped potential among the community in this regard. With this in mind, I invite anybody who wants to contribute anything - MIDI sound effects, 16-bit monster …

We're having problems starting up the server again after the update. The BYOND version of the server must be updated in order to run the updated FFL, but only the server administrator is able to update BYOND. All we can do now is to wait and hope we get a hold of the server administrator soon. Thank you for your patience.

Changed cussing policy a bit: cussing is allowed in fsay, but is censored in the other channels.

The 'fsay' (free say) channel is disabled by default; to enable it, click chat toggle, under the 'Social' tab, and choose to toggle 'fsay'.
Chatter in fsay channel may cause you to feel offended, so enable at own risk!
