| Well, as you know, recently fading has been added and I just got a complaint about it, thus this poll.
If you have a suggestion how it could be improved, also post it here.
Personally, I sometimes feel that the technique used for fading is a bit too modern for the game, but then again, I feel the game could need some more modern-ness.

| You know, it isn't needed to add a poll for every complaint. If we were to vote away everything that ever had a complaint, not much would have been left of the game. | |

| fade between aeras is a pointless waste of time. sure if it was actually loading something from a disk then ok. fade in the Inns is ok cos it shows night passing. but having to wait for a fade when entering a town or dungeion even from room to room is pointless and time wasteing. | |

| I feel hearing the players' opinion is an important thing, otherwise you might end up just leaving stuff in the game because you don't want the time you spent on it wasted. I wouldn't enjoy driving development into the wrong direction and losing all players. | |

| If players would quit the game only because of a two second fade effect, then those players aren't worth our time anyway.
And Moridin, as we explained in-game, the fading has nothing to do with loading, it's purely an effect to make the game look better. It's polishing.

| please read what i said Nielz, i know it is not used for loading as there is no need(i already said that SEVERAL TIMES) having to wait for a effect that isent in the OG is kind of pointless. the OG had the window pixilate and shrink to show the next one THAT was ok, this fade thing you can see your char chalf the time, it dosent always work and you cant move. i therfor see no point in its exsitacne. | |

It's kind of stupid not having it either. Fade ins are very popular in games, It's impossible to do everything the original game does on BYOND. Fade in's are used to make it look like you're moving into a town/cave (like you're no longer beign a Giant as that's what you look like in the world map) or sleeping at an inn for the next day mainly. It makes it look better then it just flashing infront of your eyes as that looks 100% wrong. As future Game maker, I know fade ins are well known of this purpose. Heck I made a Fade in on a Flash RPG game however, it only delays half a second or something to make it look more better so if the fade in takes less time then it is right now, would you differ your comment?

| I like it, but the five person parties take quite long to go through each door. That's all really. | |

Oh, must be a small coding flaw. Forward this issue to CIB/Alba, he can fix it to make the fading happen fully simultaneously for all party members.
