I've done some icons of my own over my course of FFL play time, and thought I should post some images of them so people can see what they're like. So far I've made five, four of which are from the game Live-a-Live.
Hargon: One of the final bosses from Dragon Warrior 2. I remember sifting through some Dragon Warrior sprites, and saw Hargon and remembering he was one of my favored bosses from Dragon Warrior. So I did up an icon of him using Tellah as a base, and came up with my first FFL icon.
Straybow: The mage from the Knight chapter of Live-a-Live and my frist L-a-L icon. Straybow was a character I really liked from L-a-L, and I always preferred mage-type personas. As such, I eventually did up an icon for Straybow. It's based off of Faris' Mime sprite. I'm not entirely proud of this one, but I haven't been willing to revamp it yet.
Ro: The martial arts teacher from the Kung Fu chapter of L-a-L. This character was chosen because I was playing through as a monk on a server one day, and decided I needed a look other than Yang. Ro was one of my trickier icons to make, as I wanted it to look different from Yang. I'm happy with the end result and find it fun to use.
Hash: One of the knights from the Knight chapter of L-a-L. This icon was made because I wished to keep to a medieval style, but I also wanted to try a sprite with armor rather than robes and such. I really like how it turned out, but for some reason I rarely use it. He's based off of Paladin Cecil and Galuf.
Uranus: The priest from the Knight chapter of L-a-L and Hash's partner. This is also the icon most of you see me use and was the most painful one for me to make. A warning to all prospective FFL Icon Makers: Stay away from FuSoYa. His beard will eat you alive. However due to the challenge of editing a FuSoYa sprite this became one of my favourite icons.
So please tell me what you think, and give me some ideas of what else I can turn into an icon. Thank you for your time.
