| Yeah, I had a small case of insomnia last night, so I started brainstormin' about stuff I had no business thinking about. Most of them may be complete crap to some of ya, but maybe these will spark new, better ideas? Unique Passive Abilities for each class that can be used in non-combat/combat situations. - Spoiler:
...Unfortunately, I don't know if the class names will be retained when Legacy is remade...(or if some of the classes will be there at all.) but I will go ahead and cover my bases by going on what I recall of the starter classes.
Paladin: Cover Boost: (combat) Defense/MDefense Bonus during Cover, like maybe 15-20% tops. It'll boost the Pally's tanking functions, certainly, but it'll be broken if a Pally 'Cover's himself/herself, so maybe make it last maybe 3 of the pally's turns?
Dark Knight: Critical Darkness Boost: (combat) Whenever the DK is in critical health, if it chooses to use Darkness, it will do markedly increased damage, at the cost of leaving the user at 1 HP. Something to give them an edge in a losing fight.
Young Caller: Conserve Magic (non-combat/combat) YCs cast spells for less MP. Maybe about 15%?
Mature Caller: Magic Burst (combat) MCs will deal more damage with a normal spell than other characters, but the MP cost is increased. (but Osmose would be a lot better?)
White Mage: Critical Barrier (combat) When put into critical, WMs will gain auto-Reflect or auto-Blink, depending on what type of attack it was. However, this should only work once per fight.
Engineer: Rough n' Tough n' Stuff (combat) Occasionally during battle with no real prerequisites, 'Attack' will become 'Wrench.' When used, it will attack the target normally (with slightly higher damage), but will also counter any physical attacks with another 'Wrench' until the player's next turn. Let's see Squeenix figure that one out! >>
White Twin: Good Soles (non-combat) WTs shoes are enchanted to be comfortable and effective as possible, so they will never take damage from a damage tile (AKA never-ending Float?). They will also restore 1% HP or MP per step randomly. This, however, only affects themselves. (good luck getting everyone to not steal your shoes, btw.)
Black Twin: Weapon Spell Boost (combat) Improves the damage and likeliness of weapon spells for the whole party. Should be pretty useful if you're strapped for MP.
Monk: Jump Kick (combat) Very rarely change the Kick command to Jump Kick, which gives the temporary 'Jump' invulnerability, plus a subtle damage boost. A twist to an attack usually used at the start of a fight against a mob.
Sage: Manawalker (non-combat) For every step the sage takes, he/she regenerates 3% of their MP. This should supplement (sorta) their MP pool.
Ninja: Treasure Sense (non-combat) Pressing '5' or '.center' without facing any NPCs or Treasure Chests will give a Ninja an insight on nearby treasure, up to a maximum of a full screen away. The directions should be pretty vague, (Thattaway! South! Somewhere! I THINK!) because Treasure Hunting isn't always as easy as looking for sparkling objects in the ground or holding items over your head with a little fanfare playing in the background.
Lunarian: Contract of the Moon (combat) If a Lunarian is K.O.'d in a fight, during subsequent turns there will be a small, small chance that the Lunarian will get Life1'd without any player input. This, however, is useless without a party.
Bard: Longer Buffs (combat) ...I don't have to explain this, do I? Longer buffs. Like, Haste doesn't burn out after 5 turns. Just thought that be kinda fun.
Equipment descriptions Just a little something for the heck of it. Something that's descriptive of the item, but a bit funny, too. - Spoiler:
Like...uh...Prisoner Garb -- A trendy, orange outfit, only slighty stained with the previous owner's innards.
Or Glass Helm -- It's a helmet. Made of glass. G'luck with that.
Or Excalibur II -- A reforged legendary sword...found in cereal...wait. We have cereal?
Some new mid/end-game dungeons!--wait, that's not very useful. Well, still, there was a lot of potential for extra dungeons on the OWs of the past...so um...Yeah. Uh...how about a set arena in a fairly easy-to-access area mid-game where you can fight stronger enemy mobs, refight bosses (with better stats), or do PvP, if you're into it. ...I wonder if we can get away with making Gilgamesh pop up there...Probably not. Um...assuming we ever get an overflow of battle/world map theme music, it'd be pretty cool if we could pick which one we wanted to hear, in case someone likes one battle theme over another. I'd rather not see custom music as an option, but I guess that could work as long as it doesn't mess up something. How 'bout a new dev room? There's plenty of good places to put 'em! (if not blatantly obvious places) ...That's all I got. Well? EDIT: Came up with a couple more... Clan Related Stuffs. - Spoiler:
Purchasable Clan Houses, with interactive things like...maybe...a custom flag to make it unique, selecting between several presets for how the furnishings inside are set, or even a NPC that tells you about the clan's stats, or info about a specific member. Or, maybe make it upgradable by making Clan Leaders purchase stuff like Bank NPCs, Beds for Clan Members, or maybe a minigame room, if we ever do something like that. As for how many (and where, for that matter) to map them...it's hard to say, since I've never mapped anything on BYOND before and for that matter I don't know if the maps will look like the ones on the old FFL.
...That said, the Clans on FFL weren't all that serious, since Legacy was largely "co-op" over "competitive" gameplay. Meh.
Who wants a house for 9,999,999 GP? xD
Menu Stuff - Spoiler:
Assuming we keep the old format of the menu, it'd be pretty neat if the menu was redone so you can do stuff like...
--Rename Spells and Abilities...except the Commands that appear on the root Battle Menu. That'd be silly. Oh, and filter out curse words for those. Can't have some troll dropping F-Bombs instead of Nukes, now can we?
--Maybe a Trade Medicine feature that lets' you exchange basic healing items (probably not the Elixir/Megalixir-grade items, though...) so that those near-useless MP-restoring items that melee classes occasionally get through battle can be given to someone who could use it later. I mean, if they need it NOW, use it on them asap, but... >>
(Alright, real world example. Most of us are smart enough to carry our fair share of healing items, right? Well, some of us will also cut corners too if we can keep more inventory slots for rare equipment or key items. So on more than one occasion, someone will neglect to bring Life/LifeAll to a tough boss fight and get themselves wiped out 'cause one guy forgot to restock.)
On that note: --Party Leader can see the whole party's stock of healing items. 'cause that circumvents what happened above. And if it didn't...it's double their fault! Win-Win!
Alternatively: --A combined "healing item only" inventory in parties, so everyone can see the group's remaining supplies. As for how it could be sorted...when an item is used from the "combined" menu, it takes that particular item from the user's inventory first (if it can, anyways). If not, like you don't have any, it'll use one from a member who has one picked at random, so you can't just steal from one person's inventory consistently.
EDIT 2: Lol Harder. Nah, I'm kidding, but... Can we have some devious traps, like well-hidden pitfalls or statues that shoot fireballs...or some baddies with a penchant for ambushes. Could we get away with a giant boulder rigged to a pressure plate? Like I said earlier...it's all kinda random ideas I've been thinking about, so...maybe you guys can get somethin' tangible from 'em.

| Lol, maybe. What would be my quote, though? "When the hell did I get dev?" ...Ya know, since that was the first thing I said when I got it...Wish I got a screenshot of it, but oh well. Or maybe "Get off mah lawn!'' ._. | |

| Yesh, I did say that many, many times, didn't I?
Many...many times. Too bad I don't have an accurate count of how many FFL zombies I've burnt to a crisp over time.
Maybe my statue will set people on fire, I dunno if that's a good idea. Well...actually...might make a good trap. xD

"Kill it! Kill it with fire!"
"Katon-spam!"
"What do you mean, 'I'm out of MP for Ninjutsu?' I'ma statue!"
"I'ma(nota)bard!"
"Faiiiiiiiiyah!"
"Should I set you on fire? [Yes] <- [No ] Okay! *burns*"

| Nn...Yeah, it seems like every guard out there took an arrow to the knee. They also tend to insist that they can take out a dragon...then they get nommed when one decides to drop in. At least I can happily steal their stuff when that happens, since I get away with it without so much as a raised eyebrow from anyone else.
I have drawn a conclusion.
The victor gets the spoils, therefore anyone that's dead in the nearby area is liable to be plundered and/or zombified (and then backstabbed) effective immediately~
Speaking of which, that certain game has been taking all of my extra time. Hard to quit...
Oh yeah, and try casting Raise Zombie from under a dragon's corpse. Fun stuff. (Yeah, kinda shoot up, though. Liftoff!)

| Eh? I didn't think Chuck Norris hung around Skyrim...besides, nobodeh knows how to kick there. It's all about their ''honor''... and ''swords''... and ''What in Oblivion is that?'' | |

| Like tripping the very obvious tripwire when you ever-so-carefully jumped over it? (*facepalm*)
Or when your horse tries to fight a saber cat? (There went 1k gold...)
Actually, I find the fact that every crime followers do (under your command) immediately gets labelled on YOUR bounty a bit unfair. (it's not my fault that none of them can sneak for their lives, is it?)
At least some of the followers ingame were immortal...however useless Delphine could be.
"Oh there's a Forsworn/Falmer/Dragon/Hagraven/Giant/Troll nearby! I'd better draw its' attention so [Player] can't sneak-attack them!" *gets mobbed*
I...I don't think it'd be an exaggeration to say she spent most of the walks we did bleeding on the ground than actually...helping.

| Tried to, but my pc refuses to download anything more than 0.1-4% of Skype, then throws an 'alternate downloading link' which throws me back to the page where I got the crappy installer from. =/
After a solid week of trying over and over again, I'm pretty sure it won't do it. (funny, it's doing the exact same thing it did for FFL back when it was originally up. >>)
Gonna try circumventing d/ling it on my desktop and...I don't know, going to McDonald's or something with my laptop, d/l Skype, and copy the program files over. *shrugs*
